What you are agreeing to when you book and attend a coaching session.

Placeholder content. This page is maintained by the owner of Choose Yourself and is provided as an editable starting point, not legal advice. Replace this copy with your own terms and have them reviewed by a qualified professional before you launch.

Nature of coaching

Confirm that the client understands coaching is a non-clinical service focused on clarity, goals, and action — not diagnosis or treatment.

No therapeutic or medical relationship

State plainly that no therapist-client or doctor-patient relationship is created, and that coaching does not replace professional care.

Voluntary participation

The client participates voluntarily and may pause, decline a topic, or end a session at any time.

Possible discomfort

Discussing relationships can bring up strong emotions. Describe how difficult moments are handled and when a referral is appropriate.

Referrals

Describe when your coach may recommend a licensed therapist, physician, or other professional.

Recording

State whether sessions are recorded, who can access recordings, and how consent is obtained.

Emergencies

Coaching is not a crisis service. Point to the Emergency Resources page for urgent support.

Consent

Explain that booking and attending a session indicates agreement to these terms.
